Wenger - Nasri will lead our game in Barca

By Nick Teale

Arsène Wenger says
Samir Nasri will make Arsenal tick in Barcelona.

The manager says his French midfielder will fill
Cesc Fabregas' boots at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night after the captain was ruled out for the rest of the domestic season with a cracked fibula.

“He [Nasri] will of course be important because he will lead our game," said Wenger.

“I would love Cesc to be there 100 per cent. But we have no choice, we have to compensate a little bit.

"I have to find a good balance in the side to make life difficult for Barcelona. But of course Nasri is one of the players who can create."

Arsenal's medical team are currently treating seven injured first-team stars. Wenger opted to rest a further four regulars on Saturday and says any more injuries could seriously damage the Gunners in the final weeks of the season.

"The problem we have at the moment is that we are short," he said. "We rested
Abou DiabyGael ClichySamir Nasri and Nicklas Bendtner [against Wolves].

"We have
Cesc FabregasWilliam GallasRobin Van Persie and Andrey Arshavin out. Can you believe that? That’s eight players. Any injury now can hit us very hard."

In addition to the players Wenger mentioned,
Aaron Ramsey (broken leg), Kieran Gibbs (ankle ligaments) and Johan Djourou (knee) are currently on the treatment table.
